Keeping Up With Cockapoos ~ New Blogger Alert

Today we get to introduce you to Rosy & Shorty from Keeping Up With Cockapoos.

Rosy and Shortcake (a.k.a. Shorty) are two well-loved cockapoos. They're spoiled rotten. Rosy is a golden F1 cockapoo. She's a little older than eight years old. She's a great watchdog and a real sweetheart. Even though she barks at them, Rosy welcomes strangers gladly. She's very smart, but not very patient! Shorty is also an F1 cockapoo, but she's black and only about eight weeks old! Shorty loves other dogs and strangers. She isn't very loud, unlike Rosy, and she's a lot more submissive. However, like Rosy, she's an Einstein with fur and has a warm heart.

Rosy is a great dog who knows lots of tricks. She has some back problems, so she didn't end up doing agility. However, she knows a lot of tricks (including my all-time favorite, "peekaboo") and some pre-agility skills that won't hurt her back. Shorty will most likely learn the same tricks when she gets older, and maybe some agility.

Rosy was born in a puppy mill. We adopted her when she was only eight weeks, and she had severe social problems with other dogs. Now, with the right training, she's still a little hyper, but loves to meet her four-legged friends. Her spine problems came from there too (though they've gotten less severe over the years). Shorty was born from a breeder, and she needs a lot less behavior training. She's sweet around other dogs with no problem whatsoever.

My family and I chose both dogs for the same reason: personality. Rosy was full of spunk and sass, and she was great with kids. Shorty was calm and quiet, a good match for an older dog. Rosy continues to act like an sixteen week old puppy.

Rosy was my first cockapoo. At the time of which I got her, I only lived in my household. No pets. I've been a dog lover ever since I could remember, so getting her was great excitement. When my family decided to get another dog, cockapoos came into mind. We found a great, qualified breeder who had been breeding dogs for 25 years and adopted Shorty.

Rosy is a lot like a poodle, smart and glamorous. She's willing to please. Shorty is more like a cocker spaniel. She's an awful watchdog because she loves everyone! She's very playful and sweet, and loves to cuddle more than anything!

I started to blog about these tiny rascals because I simply wanted to document my dogs' interesting adventures, and how they get into mischief, as well as provide a little bit of information on the breed (well, mixed breed).

These two cuties would love to have a visit from you today, so stop by Keeping Up With Cockapoos.
