Black Cat Appreciation Day

Today is Black Cat Appreciation Day, so I thought I'd share Bailey, my first cat with you.

This is me 24 years ago with Bailey.

(I think I miss young, skinny Pam almost as much as I miss Bailey, but I digress.)

Bailey was a wonderful cat with a Diva purrsonality.  Immediately upon meeting someone she decided if she liked them or not.  If she liked them, she would be their best friend.  If she didn't like them she would lure them into the old "scratch my belleh so I can sink all of my teefs into you" trick.

I learned a lot from Bailey. She was the first and only cat I had de-clawed.  It wasn't until about a year later that I learned how horrible it was for the cat.

If you're looking for a cat, consider a beautiful black one because they often languish in shelters.
